Happy Easter! I haven't even been to this blog in ages and I miss it a little.
So much has happened since the last post--it actually makes me sad.
I used to be able to think about decorating rooms and now it all seems so very trivial.
My husband was diagnosed with a cardiac synovial sarcoma, and our lives, to say the least have been turned upside down :(

We are now in Houston and living close to MD Anderson cancer center to get him the best treatment available. Not sure how ling we will be here--looks like at a minimum 6 months or so.

Art for my office/ dressing space

I love Lips, by Andy Warhol --I think this would be a good fit around my vanity/ work space!
Only $7.50 too!

FOUND Vanity!

I found my new desk/vanity on Craigslist today! It even all fit in my car!
I plan on painting it a nice cheery blue/turquoise type color-I'll even have extra fabric from the curtains to re-upholster the chair to match.
I plan on using photo below as inspiration.

Wow! New post! Where did the time go??

I have all but abandoned my own blog for the blog of my little one. Well, what can I say, he takes up almost all of my time.
We just moved to San Fran and I'm trying to get unpacked, organized and get our house into order. Trying to have fun with decorating--My favorite room of the house, has to be our bedroom, hands down! I love the faux gas fireplace, the bay windows that look onto the semi-busy city street. I love the high ceilings, that is is really a large room and I even love the big doors that we use as our bed headrest.

My "office" space is going to be in here and I am excited to get a nice space to work in set up.

I made a New Year's resolution. Okay, I made more than one. But this one will hopefully get me organized enough to follow through with the others. I resolve to carve out a niche in my room to house a fully functioning, super hip, cheerful home office.

Comic-con and Derek Yaniger

Of course, leave it to me to find low brow tiki art at a nerd fest!
Love Derek Yaniger prints--I got a few small inexpensive ones for my office area.
Comic-con was actually really fun--especially fun to people watch!
